Dr Ginges is a Rheumatologist with expertise in all types of arthritis including rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, gout and lupus. Caring for women with arthritis throughout the childbearing years and beyond is a particular area of interest. Her paediatric training gives her good insights into treating young adults with arthritis as they transition from childhood. She treats patients holistically, with an open-minded and compassionate approach. She aims to empower patients through education about their condition and by shared decision making. Telehealth services are offered for rural and remote patients.

Dr Ilana Ginges graduated with First Class Honours from University of New South Wales 1996. She completed a Diploma of Child Health and two years of Paediatric training, and then obtained her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Physicians in adult Rheumatology. She also has a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Epidemiology and was recently awarded a Certificate in Clinician Performed Ultrasound. She uses the best available scientific evidence to guide treatment decisions.

We have made the following changes to our COVID-19 safety protocols.

We ask that if you plan to attend the clinic, that you wear a mask.

As of (24/7/20), this is the advice from the NSW Government.
Our reception staff are protected behind Shields and therefore do not need to wear mask, but our doctors will wear a mask during the consultation.
Please do not attend the clinic if you have any symptoms such as cough, fever or sore throat.
Please try to attend the clinic alone if possible, but it is necessary for a family member to join you for the consultation please bring one family member only.
