Do I need a referral to see a Geriatrician?
Yes, a GP referral is required to see our geriatricians. This ensures Medicare rebates apply and gives us a full picture of your medical history before your appointment
There is no fixed age. Consider a referral if there are concerns about memory loss, recurring falls, incontinence, difficulty coping at home, planning for future care, or when coordination between specialists is needed. Early assessment helps preserve independence
Yes, we offer Telehealth for follow-up appointments and selected initial consultations where clinically appropriate. Ask our reception team when booking
Yes, we strongly encourage it. A family member or carer can help with history, take notes, and support decisions about care, particularly when memory or hearing is a concern. There is no additional charge for an accompanying family member.
Bring your GP referral, a full list of current medications including over-the-counter and supplements, recent test results, your Medicare card, and ideally a family member or carer who can help with history.
