Associate Professor Thakkar completed his general medical and rheumatology sub-specialty training in Sydney, and then worked as a rheumatologist at St Vincent’sHospital Melbourne whilst completing his research doctorate in the autoimmunediseases and pulmonary hypertension, especially in Scleroderma.
