A/Professor Arvin Damodaran is a consultant rheumatologist and medical educatorbased in Randwick, Sydney. He is in private practice at Rheumatology Specialist Care atthe Randwick rooms, and has an appointment to the Prince of Wales Hospital (POWH),Randwick, where he provides specialist on-call, inpatient and outpatient services.

In addition to clinical care, A/Professor Damodaran is an awarded medical educatorengaged in delivering the UNSW Medicine program. He is the Director of the ClinicalTeaching Unit, POW Clinical School and Convener for Phase 3 of the UNSW Medicineprogram. As well as medical students, A/Professor Damodaran is involved in trainingjunior doctors and rheumatology trainees as a clinical supervisor at POWH. He is asenior national examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP).

A/Professor Damodaran graduated from Medicine at UNSW with honours in 1996 beforeundertaking residency and specialist training at Prince of Wales, Liverpool, Royal PrinceAlfred and Concord Hospitals in Sydney. He was awarded his specialist fellowship(FRACP) in 2004. In 2006 A/Professor Damodaran completed a Masters of MedicalEducation (MMedEd) with the University of Sydney, and became an Associate Fellow ofthe Australian and New Zealand Association for Health Professional Educators(AFANZAHPE) in 2016.
